11. WHAT MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS APPLY THIS TREATMENT?
Neurologists, neurosurgeons, orthopedists, orthopedic surgeons, rhuematologists, internists, family practitioners, chiropractors, and multidisciplinary practices all use our treatment. Hundreds of doctors throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America, and South America are relieving back pain utilizing the Spina System™.
12. HOW DOES IDD Therapy® ON THE Accu-SPINA® RELIEVE PAIN?
Changes in intervertebral disc and facet joints of the cervical or lumbar spine exert pressures on vital structures resulting in pain, muscle spasm and inflammation. The Accu-SPINA® relieves pressure and factors causing pain through precise, computer-controlled adjustments along the natural anatomical lines of the spinal column. It does so without applying undesirable twisting or rotational movements.
13. FOLLOW-UP TREATMENT: HOW OFTEN IS IT REQUIRED AND HOW BENEFICIAL IS IT?
Experience has shown that the vast majority of patients who recover on the Accu-SPINA® generally remain in remission. However, some individuals whose lifestyle or work environment tend to expose them to higher risk factors, have found that a follow-up or maintenance program of Spina treatment sessions offers a measure of protection against disabling exacerbations of their back pain syndrome. Patients in this category usually develop, in consultation with their IDD Therapy® certified physicians, their own rhythm of maintenance visits that keeps them free of problems. The onset of osteoporosis, particularly in senior patients, may also necessitate maintenance treatments.
14. DURING AND AFTER TREATMENT, IS ATTITUDE AN IMPORTANT FACTOR?
Absolutely! In fact, an interesting phenomenon has been observed in relation to a patient’s attitude toward back problems. The reassurance gained from the knowledge that he/she can readily be helped, along with the decreased fear of being incapacitated, reduces most individual’s anxiety about his/her back pain.
